This weeks blog post is a follow up on a community yarn bombing project that I have been following on Bruny Island Tasmania. These colourful knitted and crocheted, yarn bombs where produced by a group of highly talented crafters, who are part of an elderly citizens respite group called BIRCH. This talented group have been yarn bombing the Jane Finn community room at the Alonnah Health Centre on Bruny Island, an Island in the Southern Ocean, off the coast of Southern Tasmania in Australia.bruny island health centre yarn bombing

Great to see so many people catching onto a great craze. Just want to let you know that the town of Lyndoch in South Australia, will be yarn bombed for the upcoming Tour down under bike race that finishes it’s first stage in our town. Date to come and have a look is January 19th.
All us ladies are busy knitting away in preparation.

Great to hear about your yarn bombing efforts! I’m originally from South Australia myself. I would love to see some photos of your efforts when you’ve put it all on display 😊
