I LOVE TO KNIT & I’D RATHER YARN BOMB MY GARDEN THAN KNIT A SWEATER. MY MOST RECENT EFFORT IS THE YARN BOMBING OF MY NEW BIRDBATH. I WRAPPED THE BASE IN MULTICOLOURED FINGER KNITTING & SEWED ON SOME CROCHET FLOWERS. MY GARDEN IS QUITE WHIMSICAL AND IT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. I LOVE TO ADD NEW PLANTS AND STAUES AND TO PHOTOGRAPH MY PROGRESS AS I GO. I HAVE COVERED THE POSTS TO THE ENTRANCE WAY OF MY HOUSE WITH BRIGHTLY KNITTED YARN BOMBS AND FILLED MY GARDEN WITH LOTS OF LITTLE TREASURES AND LOTS OF CACTI AND SUCCULENTS.

Love the Environment & Get Crafty the Retro Singer Sewing Machine Way. Carbon Neutral Craft.
I have just purchased this stunning little Singer sewing machine. The machine is solid steel, works perfectly & was manufactured in Scotland in 1940. It is a hand crank machine, which makes it more than just an awesome piece of machinery, it makes it carbon neutral, as I won’t need to plug it in to do my sewing. The sewing machine is heavy duty & sews thick canvas, leather & denim. Forget the plastic machinery of today & rock out with an old fashioned singer! These models are still very popular in developing countries such as India, where electricity is not always available.
Love the environment & get crafty!

Yarn bombing with Instagram
I recently joined Instagram and have been excited to share photographs of my yarn bombs on Instagram. It’s a lot of fun & whilst it’s actually new technology it has that lovely old fashioned feeling that I used to get with a Polaroid camera & it has a vibrant immediacy about it. So much fun. I thought I’d share some of my Instagram photographs on my blog.
