Hand knitted felt placemat. I knitted this with genuine real wool yarn, then machine washed in hot water, which felted the wool. Be sure to do a test piece first if you are unsure if your yarn is feltable. Any pure wool should felt. Check the washing instructions and if it says hand wash only in cold water, chances are it will felt in hot water. Panda make a range of special felt able yarns. It pays to get yarns from the same lot number if possible.
