MACRAME WAS HUGE IN THE CRAFT MOVEMENT OF THE 70’S AND LIKE ALL THINGS RETRO IT IS HAVING A RESURGENCE. SOME SREET ARTISTS HAVE EVEN TURNED THEIR HAND TO THE ART OF THE KNOT AND HAVE BEEN YARN BOMBING POLES AND POSTS WITH MACRAME.

love the macrame cat and the yarnbombing is ever so impressive as wellxx not sure how you guys do it though. do you make your piece and then stand there and sew it all on the tree?? excuse me for being silly!! i can never work things out thoughxx thx for sharingxx
Hi. We knit or crochet our piece and then stitch it around the tree. Some people use cable ties to hold the yarn together instead of stitching. Some of the macramé is knotted directly to the pole. It’s great when people ask questions & I always enjoy answering them! Thanks for taking part in the craft conversation ! Cheers
