I DID SOME YARN BOMBING ON THIS TREE, A FEW SEASONS AGO. I WENT BACK TO REVISIT IT & DO ANY REPAIRS THAT MIGHT NEED DOING. IT HAS FADED A LITTLE BIT. I WILL PROBABLY CUT IT DOWN & REPLACE IT WITH A NEW SLEEVE OF KNITTING, IN A FEW MONTHS TIME, BEFORE IT GETS TOO TATTY.
That is all kinds of awesome!
Thanks! I had lots of fun doing it!
Just out of curiosity…how long did it take you to cover that tree?
The knitting took a week or so, just knitting in front of the telly in the evenings. Using large needles makes knitting big pieces quick. It took 2 of us about a half hour to attach it to the tree. It’s quite a big tree. I’ve done smaller ones that have taken less time. : )
It took about a week to knit, during the evenings. I used largish needles which halves knitting time. It took about half an hour for two people to attach the knitting to the tree, we used cable ties, but stitching it with a wool needle works just as well. : )
